Certified Dietary Manager(CDM):

Homestead Health Center is dedicated to providing Person Centered Care in all areas of our residents' lives. One of the most important areas is in the nourishment of their bodies in an enjoyable and satisfying way. Our Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) is responsible for planning and executing the menus and meal plans for each specific resident. They direct and delegate the operations of the department by ordering and maintaining an appropriate inventory while adhering to budgetary levels; responsible for keeping an exceptionally clean environment that is expected by all their staff; and they are able to maintain interactive staffing and scheduling through training, effective coaching and performance reviews.

*Successful completion of Kansas Certified Dietary Manager certification course is required

 

• Meet and exceed the needs of the residents

• Supervise the entire operation of the dietary department

• Act as the culinary face of the brand

• Ensure the proper delivery of the specific resident's diets

• Participate in the development of the residents' plan of care

• Evaluate the quality of meals

• Run the day-to-day operations of the department

• Ensure meals meet the nutritional requirements of the residents

• Establish and coordinate the preparation of food and ordering of supplies

• Oversee the production and service of food
